The Old Manse @ Chatton

The Old Manse Bed & Breakfast is situated on the edge of the pretty village of Chatton, in the 'Secret Kingdom' of North Northumberland, so is ideally placed to explore the wonderful Northumbrian coast, roam the Cheviot Hills, or visit the many picturesque towns and villages that The Borders have to offer. Whether you are hiking the many & varied walking routes, cycling the National Cycle Network routes, or making your own way around this wonderful friendly county, you could not ask for a better base than The Old Manse @ Chatton.

Whatever your pursuits, you will be guaranteed a warm welcome from owners Ian & Mary who will strive to make your stay a memorable one, whether it be the comfortable bedrooms, the excellent breakfast, or just relaxing in the garden or by the fireplace.

We are situated just 11 miles from Bamburgh with it's imposing castle and a gateway to the beautiful unspoilt beaches along the Heritage Coastline, where you can also catch a boat to the Farne Islands or cross the causeway to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. We are also just 15 miles from Alnwick with its castle and gardens, and 18 miles from the border town of Berwick upon Tweed. Wooler is the gateway to the Cheviots with its breath-taking hills & valleys, and is a mere 4 miles up the road. See our attractions page for further details of what is on offer in the area.
